The Alcázar of Seville is one of the most representative monumental compounds in the city, the country and the Mediterranean culture as a whole.

The Alcazar of Seville is one of the most emblematic monuments of Seville and Andalusia. It is part of a set of palatial buildings surrounded by walls located in the heart of the Andalusian city.

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it is the oldest inhabited royal palace in Europe. Its origin dates back to the 11th century, when the Muslim authorities decided to build a fortress in a strategic area of ​​Seville to guarantee their safety. The fortified enclosure of the Alcazar is made up of various palaces and gardens considered at different times.

You will enjoy strolling through spaces of different styles, combining Muslim, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and romantic art.


What to expect?

You are about to enter one of the most visited places in the world. A space that is part of the World Heritage, where the Patronage Committee of Real Alcázar and the City Council of Seville organize a whole series of cultural and educational activities in which you can participate. 

You will discover cycles of conferences, concerts, the Teatro de Primavera (spring theater) or the Noches en los Jardines del Alcázar (Nights in the Gardens of the Alcazar).

How does it work?

Because Alcazar is a busy site to visit they work with timeslots. After your timeslot, you can stay as long as you want. Select the time slot you prefer and you will receive the tickets for the selected date and time.

To have general information about all the highlights of Alcazar we recommend to add our audioguide to your booking. This application can be easily downloaded on your phone and consists of 25 items with a total duration of 25 minutes. Audioguide is available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

Important to know:

Bring your earphones when going to the Alcazar. The application can be downloaded on your phone and works offline. You do not need a Wifi connection or your mobile network to listen to the audioguide. Directly after your purchase you will receive the audioguide by email. 
We recommend to download it immediately so you are prepared when visiting the Alcazar.

  • From April to September: Monday to Sunday, 09:30 to 19:00.
  • Closed on the 1st and 6th of January, Good Friday and the 25th of December.
